Access Community Health in New Zealand seeks skilled Support Workers to assist clients with complex care needs in their homes across Canterbury. You will provide compassionate, person-centered support, including daily living, medication assistance, and mobility help, while honoring cultural values and routines.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or equivalent experience.
• Spinal injury experience.
• Stoma Management experience.
• Experience using a full, standing and two-person hoist.
• Experience administering prescribed medication.
• Love working with people and helping them thrive.
• Willing to learn, reflect, and adapt approach to each person.
• Experience in caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or other people-facing roles.
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for diverse backgrounds.
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs.
• Own a smartphone.
• Have the right to work in New Zealand.
• Full/restricted driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily living support in clients’ homes with dignity and respect.

• Support with daily routines while honoring culture and beliefs.
• Maintain safety and documentation as required.
• Participate in training and pathway development for Kaiāwhina.
