Job summary

Pact is a leading provider of support across New Zealand. We’re seeking a capable support worker to help people with complex needs live meaningful, connected lives in Nelson. The role offers 40 hours per week with a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts, paid at $31.97 per hour.

You’ll support people to set and achieve goals, participate in daily activities, and maintain wellbeing, documenting progress and fostering confidence.

About the Role

The Permi-Flex position would be an excellent fit for someone who loves variety in their work week. With 40 hours per week guaranteed, you will work a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts across our Nelson services; plus, you will be paid $31.97 per hour.

In this role, you will:

• Support peopleas they set and achieve personal goals
• Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
• Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
• Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
• Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
• And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!

You must be available to work a variety ofday,evening, awake night and weekend shifts.

What you’ll bring

Our Nelson team is looking for someone with:

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
• A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
• A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3Health & Wellbeing) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
• The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
