Overview

Community Support Worker – Levin (Part Time, 32 hours per fortnight). MASH provides support services for individuals with Mental Health and wellness needs, intellectual or physical disability or disease, alcohol and dependency issues, as well as young people; services are provided in home settings or in the community. This role supports individuals to maintain a high quality of life and participate in daily community life.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to maintain a high quality of life and a positive home environment.
• Encourage full participation in everyday life and community activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (e.g., bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed).
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping to maintain a healthy home environment.
• Provide care and support in accordance with individual needs and plans.

Requirements

• Hold a current full driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• A willingness to work flexible hours; this role includes night shifts.
• Open to individual care tasks as part of the support provided.
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand with a minimum of six months on a visa.
• Caring and kind nature with stability to support people from diverse backgrounds.

Hours

Part-time position: 32 hours per fortnight. Specific hours:

• Week 1: Wednesday and Sunday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (the following day).
• Week 2: Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (the following day).
