Job summary

Healthvision NZ in Otago seeks a compassionate Part-time Support Worker to assist clients with personal care, meal prep, household tasks, mobility support, and community access in the Oamaru area. You will work on a rotating roster (am/pm, weekends) with flexible hours, travel allowance, and paid competency trainings.

Qualifications

Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred.
Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury.
Access to a car and ability to drive independently (NZ Driver's License is a must).
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster.
Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.

Responsibilities

Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing).
Assisting with household management and meal preparation.
Supporting exercise programmes.
Assisting with accessing the community.
Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares.
Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers.
Medication support.
