Cordis Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group seeks a Commissionaire to welcome guests at the forecourt, assist with luggage and vehicles, and support arrivals and departures. This part-time role is ideal for someone active who thrives on guest interaction and a hands-on environment.

You will work with Bell Desk, Concierge, Front Office and Guest Relations to deliver a seamless arrival experience. Must have NZ work rights; rotating roster across mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles is advantageous.
• Strong customer service mindset and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Confident communication and the ability to take initiative.
• Able to stay calm and organized in a busy hotel environment.
• Flexible to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends.

Aufgaben

• Welcome guests on arrival and farewell with warmth and professionalism.
• Assist with luggage and direct guests to appropriate hotel areas.
• Manage forecourt vehicle flow and assist with parking as required.
• Ensure taxis and valet services are ready when requested by guests.
• Maintain forecourt cleanliness and present a high standard of appearance.
• Provide guests with information about the hotel and local services.
• Collaborate with Bell Desk, Concierge, Front Office and Guest Relations to ensure seamless arrivals and departures.
• Respond to guest inquiries and identify opportunities to create memorable moments.
• Support Porter, Shuttle Driver and Concierge duties as needed.
• Follow hotel safety, security and emergency procedures; rotate across shifts.

Commissionaire - Part Time

(Please note that you must already have work rights in New Zealand to be considered for this role)

As a Commissionaire, you will be one of the first faces our guests see when they arrive at Cordis Auckland and play an important role in creating a warm and memorable first impression. Based on our hotel forecourt, you will welcome guests, assist with luggage and vehicles, support arrivals and departures, and help ensure the forecourt operates safely and smoothly throughout the day.

This is a hands-on, guest-facing role suited to someone who enjoys being active, taking initiative and creating memorable moments for guests. You will work closely with our Bell Desk, Concierge, Front Office and Guest Relations teams to deliver a seamless arrival and departure experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests warmly and professionally on arrival and farewell.
• Assisting guests with luggage and directing them to the appropriate area of the hotel.
• Managing the safe and smooth flow of vehicles, pedestrians and guests throughout the forecourt.
• Assisting with guest vehicles and parking as required.
• Ensuring taxis and valet vehicles are ready when requested by guests.
• Maintaining the forecourt to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Providing guests with information about the hotel, its facilities and local services.
• Working closely with Bell Desk, Concierge, Front Office and Guest Relations to ensure guests are recognised and well looked after.
• Responding to guest enquiries and looking for opportunities to create memorable moments and exceptional service.
• Supporting Porter, Shuttle Driver and Concierge duties where required.
• Following hotel safety, security and emergency procedures at all times.
• Working across a rotating roster, including AM, PM and Sunrise shifts.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, concierge, porter, transport or another customer-facing environment would be an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating positive guest experiences.
• A confident, friendly and professional communication style.
• A proactive approach and the ability to take initiative without waiting to be asked.
• The ability to stay calm, organised and attentive in a busy hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of personal presentation.
• A team-focused attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Flexible and energetic, with the ability to adapt to different operational needs.
• Comfortable working independently when required.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
