Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role maintains hotel standards, ensuring a safe and well‑maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike.

You’ll respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative tasks, and work closely with the wider Engineering team to keep the hotel running smoothly, with opportunities to contribute to safety and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance tasks including repairs and preventative work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical mindset.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to a hospitalitiy environment.
• Commitment to health and safety standards in a busy hotel setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated maintenance tasks to a high standard.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly with guest priorities in mind.
• Support daily Engineering operations and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with maintenance of safety systems and reporting faults.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with Engineering and hotel departments.
• Supervise external contractors as required.
• Participate in rotating shift work as needed.
• Identify process improvements and sustainability opportunities.

Maintenance Technician | Permanent Full Time | 40 hours a week | Monday to Sunday morning shift and evening shift

(Please note that you must already have work rights in New Zealand to be considered for this role)

We are looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team at Cordis, Auckland. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the hotel to a high standard and ensuring our colleagues and guests have a safe, comfortable and well-maintained environment. You’ll work closely with the wider Engineering team, responding to maintenance requests, completing preventative maintenance and helping ensure the day-to-day operation of the hotel runs smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for:

• Completing allocated maintenance tasks and assignments to a high standard
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner, with guest-related requests taking priority
• Supporting the daily operations of the Engineering department
• Carrying out preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
• Assisting with the maintenance of hotel safety systems
• Identifying and reporting technical faults
• Monitoring health and safety procedures and ensuring work is completed safely
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work
• Communicating effectively with the Engineering team and other hotel departments
• Supporting and supervising external contractors when required
• Participating in rotating shift work as required
• Looking for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
• Helping maintain hotel assets while considering sustainability and responsible use of resources
