Job summary

Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to lead commercial performance and partner with senior stakeholders in Auckland. You will shape strategy through robust forecasting, insightful analysis and strong financial control.

Qualifications

• Qualified with CA/CPA or equivalent.
• Proven track record in Commercial Finance, FP&A or Business Partnering.
• Strong experience with FMCG, consumer goods or manufacturing sectors.
• Ability to partner with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain leaders.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytics capabilities.
• Experience presenting insights to senior leaders.
• Collaborative communicator with strategic business acumen.

As the business continues to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join the leadership team and play a key role in driving commercial performance across the organisation.

This is far more than a traditional finance position.

Partnering closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain, you'll act as a trusted advisor, helping shape business decisions through insightful analysis, robust forecasting and a strong understanding of the commercial drivers that influence profitability.

You’ll challenge thinking, identify opportunities, assess risk and ensure decisions are supported by sound financial and commercial rationale.

The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and will see you contributing across both day-to-day performance management and longer-term strategic planning.

About You:

We’re looking for an experienced commercial finance professional with the confidence and credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll Bring:

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Demonstrated success in Commercial Finance, FP&A or Business Partnering positions.
• Strong FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods or manufacturing experience.
• A proven ability to partner with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain functions.
• Excellent commercial acumen and an ability to link financial outcomes with operational performance.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Strong communication skills and a naturally collaborative approach.
• A desire to understand the bigger picture rather than simply report the numbers.
