Job summary

Mondiale VGL in Auckland, New Zealand seeks a Commercial Finance Analyst to lead forecasting, planning and budgeting across the Group. You will design roadmaps, partner with the Group CFO and regional CFOs to deliver insights that guide executive decisions.

You will work with regional finance teams to improve forecasting accuracy, analyze cost-to-serve and mix, and evaluate capital expenditure proposals to support strategic investments.

Qualifications

• CA qualification and tertiary accounting background.
• 3+ years in FP&A or business partnering within a complex, multi-region environment.
• Strong financial modelling skills (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and a genuine curiosity for what drives business performance.
• The confidence to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders and collaborate with them.

Responsibilities

Forecasting, Planning & Budgeting

• Design and lead the roadmap, processes, and tools for integrated planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the whole Group.
• Partner directly with the Group CFO and regional CFOs to build forecasting that genuinely guides Executive and regional leadership decisions.
• Work alongside regional finance teams to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and the processes behind it.
• Dig into material variances - not just flag them, but get to the root cause and turn that into a proactive improvement opportunity.

Analysis, Business Change & Decision Support

• Build genuine, trusted relationships with regional Finance teams at every level - this role is as much about people as numbers.
• Use financial and non-financial data - internal and external - to build a real understanding of business performance, not just a report of it.
• Drive insight through cost-to-serve, volume/product/customer mix analysis, root cause work, and benchmarking against leading practice.
• Evaluate capital expenditure business cases and help the business build strong strategic investment cases.

Qualifications
