Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a hands‑on Commercial Collections Manager to join the Auckland Commercial Collections team, based at our East Tāmaki head office. You will oversee collection services across the Auckland region, leading people, solving problems, and supporting day‑to‑day delivery of services that benefit customers and communities.

You will lead a team, work with contractors and customers, and focus on safety, efficiency, and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mid to large sized teams.
• Degree in Logistics, Business or Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• HR and performance improvement experience.
• Track record of maintaining and improving HSE culture.
• Commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and interpret financial results.
• Strong leadership and excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

We’re looking for a hands‑on and motivated Commercial Collections Manager to join our Auckland Commercial Collections team. Based at our award‑winning East Tāmaki head office, this role is responsible for overseeing key collection services across the Auckland region.

In this role, you’ll work closely with your team, contractors, and customers to make sure operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be focused on leading people, solving problems, and supporting the day‑to‑day delivery of services that make a real impact for our customers and communities.

Qualifications

Key characteristics required include:

• A passion for operations in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
• A relevant Logistics, Business or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with relevant experience in a similar environment
• Experience managing mid to large sized teams
• HR and performance improvement experience
• A demonstrable track record of maintaining and improving HSE culture
• Commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and interpret financial results
• Strong leadership and excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• You are results driven, very detail oriented and have a high level of professionalism
