Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Platform Site Reliability Engineer in Auckland to scale our global Cloud Platform.

You will tackle reliability and performance challenges in distributed Kubernetes-based environments across public clouds and automation-driven operations, working with Go, Python, and CNCF technologies. You will join a growing Auckland team, collaborating with colleagues across time zones to deliver robust, scalable platform services and incident response processes in a

Qualifications

Experience with site reliability engineering or DevOps concepts.
Hands-on with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Familiarity with CNCF technologies and cloud-native tooling.

Responsibilities

Identify, diagnose, and resolve reliability and performance issues in distributed cloud environments.
Design and implement automation to improve operational efficiency and scale.
Develop and launch SLIs/SLOs and extend observability architecture.
Collaborate with global SRE counterparts to share best practices.
Contribute to incident response, RCA, and runbook development.
Support cloud platform infrastructure to ensure high availability.
Participate in on-call shifts across time zones.
