Job summary

Aderant is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-based applications. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including API design, frontend development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience building modern web apps using TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js backend services (Express/Nest).
• Experience with React frontend.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; GraphQL a plus.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in cloud-based development (AWS or similar).
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Proactive mindset to leverage AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build and enhance responsive user interfaces with React.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production.
• Contribute to scalable system design and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, testable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Ensure security, data integrity, and reliability of applications.
