Job summary

Aderant is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer (Intermediate) to own end-to-end operational workstreams for AWS and Azure environments, refine runbooks, and drive incidents to resolution. You will implement automation to reduce toil and improve reliability, while coordinating across teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in operations or SRE, strong scripting skills (Bash/PowerShell/Python), and hands-on experience with observability tools and incident lifecycle

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations, SRE, production support or NOC, with hands-on incident leadership.
• Extensive experience in AWS and Azure including IAM, compute, networking, storage, cost and security trade-offs.
• Proficient in Bash and/or PowerShell, plus Python for automation.
• Hands-on experience building observability dashboards and monitoring (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience authoring and improving runbooks/SOPs to automate recurring incidents.
• Experience owning incidents end-to-end: triage, coordination, resolutions, and post-incident reviews.
• Comfort with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow) and on-call rotations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; lead incident comms and mentor juniors.

• Lead incident communications and post-incident reviews; mentor junior engineers.
