Job summary

The Treasury, part of the New Zealand Government, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Enabling Services team on a permanent basis. Your focus will be to manage, maintain and develop Enabling Services platforms (virtual and public cloud) to enable agencies to meet their priorities.

You will work with AD, Azure, EntraID, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Veeam and virtualization, and automate with PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science/ICT or related field.
• Experience with identity and access management and Windows server environments.
• Proficient in PowerShell automation and cloud/on‑premises platform management.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and develop Enabling Services platforms (virtual/cloud) to support agency priorities.
• Implement and maintain AD, Azure, EntraID and security controls; manage server, storage and virtualization.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity and security initiatives; engage with stakeholders.
