Job summary

ACC New Zealand is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deliver, and support platform engineering and automation for a modern digital workplace. You will work in a high‑performing team to ensure secure, reliable services across M365, Windows 11, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure infrastructure.

The role emphasizes automation, endpoint security, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic New Zealand environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years enterprise experience with M365, Windows 11 and Exchange Online.
• Strong skills in Intune, Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Zscaler.
• Automation using PowerShell, Graph, Azure Automation, Terraform, Azure CLI.
• Endpoint security: CA, MFA, Defender, Information Protection and DLP.
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication; Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support platform engineering and automation.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As a Cloud Engineer at ACC, you will help deliver and support the technologies that enable thousands of ACC people to serve New Zealanders every day. Working within a high-performing continuous delivery team, you will be responsible for platform engineering, automation, operational support and continuous improvement across Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows 11, Azure Virtual Desktop, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Zscaler and supporting Azure infrastructure. You'll contribute to a secure, reliable and modern digital workplace while helping ACC keep Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The appointing salary for this role is $138,573 to $166,288 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

About you | Mōu

You will bring:

• At least five years' enterprise-level experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and Exchange Online platforms.
• Strong experience with Intune, Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, Zscaler, Entra ID and cloud infrastructure services.
• Demonstrated expertise in automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation, Terraform, Azure CLI and related technologies.
• Experience supporting endpoint security, Conditional Access, MFA, Defender, Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention capabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement, innovation and learning.
• Experience working within Agile environments and contributing to high-performing delivery teams.
• You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
