Job summary

Trimble is hiring a Software Engineer to bridge embedded C++ control systems with cloud-connected applications in Christchurch, New Zealand. You will develop features for the Earthworks system, combining embedded software with modern web technologies to enhance productivity and safety on job sites.

You will work across a global engineering team, contributing to the full software lifecycle, including design, testing, and documentation, while aligning with CTCT’s standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid professional experience developing embedded software in C++.
• Hands-on experience building web applications using TypeScript and Angular.

Responsibilities

• Develop dynamic, cross‑platform system features for Earthworks products.
• Write robust embedded Linux software in C++ and craft modern Web UIs (Angular).
• Contribute to distributed system architecture and bounded contexts.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver customer value.
• Apply engineering best practices to ensure quality and delivery.
