Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a Clinical Practice Manager in central Northland to lead a nurse‑led primary care clinic. You will ensure safe practice, support clinical decision‑making and maintain high standards of nursing care within a whanau‑centred approach.

The role covers Monday–Friday operations with some outreach beyond standard hours, driving governance, staff development and collaborative partnerships to improve community health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NZ authority and current practising certificate.
• Experience leading clinical or nursing services in primary care.
• Strong governance, quality improvement and risk management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership across clinic and outreach services.
• Oversee clinical quality, safety and professional nursing practice.

About You

• Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and holding a current Annual Practising Certificate
• Relevant experience leading clinical or nursing services
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management
• Confident providing leadership within a nurse‑led environment
• Able to coach staff, manage competing priorities and address performance concerns constructively
• Sound understanding of primary care, community health or Māori health service delivery
• Committed to culturally safe, whānau‑centred practice
• Strong written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills
• Holds a full, clean and current New Zealand driver licence
• Holds current New Zealand work rights, as employer-supported visa sponsorship is not available
