Job summary

The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge is seeking a dynamic Clinical Operations Manager to lead a team of health professionals across Mt Eden and regional programmes. The role focuses on operational and clinical leadership for residential and community addiction services and requires deep commitment to the Salvation Army mission.

This permanent role offers a 40-hour week (08:00 – 16:30) with some on-call rostered duties.

Qualifications

  • Degree and Full Registration in Addictions or related field such as Nursing, Social Work, Counselling or Psychology.
  • Minimum 10 years since degree and at least 3 years leadership in residential/community addiction services.
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations and work with Mana Whenua and community networks.
  • Contract literacy and ability to deliver measurable outcomes within time frames.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical operations across Mt Eden and regional programmes.
  • Provide operational and clinical leadership to health professionals.
  • Oversee residential and community alcohol and other drug services delivery.
  • Ensure contracts are met and reporting is accurate.

The Salvation Army Auckland Bridge

We are seeking the full-time services of a dynamic and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to lead a team of Health professionals. The position is based in Mt Eden, Auckland and involves providing operations and clinical leadership to our Mt Eden, Waitākere, Manukau Bridge programmes as well as our respite service based in Manurewa. The service is regional and has multiple contracts for delivery.

Our ideal candidate must have:
  • Degree and Full Registration in Addictions or related field i.e. Nursing, Social Work, Counselling or Psychology for at least 10 years
  • Proven experience in leadership of Residential and Community alcohol and other drug addiction services for at least 3 years.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven Human Resources background
  • Effective communication skills, able to deliver professional presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Able to work within the principles of the Te Tiritii o Waitangi and have the ability and confidence to build and strengthen partnerships with Mana Whenua and community networks.
  • The ability to work as a team member while evidencing effective self-management and organisation.
  • Be contract literate, able to deliver measurable outcomes within time frames.
  • Contribute innovative solutions that support retention and expansion of contracts and funding.
  • Strong administrative skills including significant computer skills and report writing
  • Experience in facilitating groups and in case management in the Alcohol and Drug field.

This role is permanent and hours worked will be 40 per week 08:00 – 16:30 with anon-call component as rostered.

The starting salary for this role is based on management experience within the Social Worker Pay Equity framework and will likely fall between $113,000 and $122,000.
