Job summary

Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Lakes is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join Rotorua Hospital on a part-time basis (0.7 FTE). You will support both inpatient and outpatient care, with outpatient visits to Taupo hospital.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to develop your clinical practice as a junior clinician, supported by the Team Leader Dietitian and our dietetic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in general dietetics.
• NZ Registered Dietitian with a current APC.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
• Have a deep commitment to address equity issues within our community.
• Dietitian prescriber status is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient and outpatient care at Rotorua Hospital.
• Travel to Taupo hospital for outpatient clinics.
• Work in a variety of clinical specialties in collaboration with the dietetic team.
• Contribute to equitable care and participate in MDT activities.

Clinical Dietitian Permanent, Part-time (0.7 FTE / 56 hours per fortnight) Rotorua Hospital

About the Role

As a Clinical Dietitian you will be based at Rotorua hospital and support both inpatient and outpatient care. You will also be visiting Taupo based hospital for outpatient care. You will be working in a variety of clinical specialties. This will be dependent on you preference, skill and experience. This position is suitable for a junior clinician who wants to take their clinical practice to the next level. You will be supported by the Team Leader Dietitian and work alongside our dietetic team. As a Dietitian you will be valued by our supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Our team consists of 6 Dietitians with a wealth of clinical experience.
