Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking a qualified and registered clinical Dietitian to join our team for casual cover at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth.

You will work with inpatient wards and outpatient clinics as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting clients across the lifespan and contributing to health outcomes for the community.

This casual role offers variety, allowing growth in clinical dietetics within Te Whatu Ora's commitment to equity and whanau wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with NZ Dietitians Board including endorsed Dietitian Prescriber scope.
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical dietetic experience of 2+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of foodservice dietetics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide casual dietetic cover across inpatient wards and outpatient clinics.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support a range of health challenges across the lifespan.
• Support Dietetics service across Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth.
• Deliver client-centred care and education.

About the Role

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking a dietitian with experience in clinical dietetics to join our team.

The successful applicant will work at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth. Clinicians from the dietetic service work as part of multi-disciplinary teams in inpatient wards and outpatient clinics, supporting clients with a range of health challenges across the lifespan. This role would provide casual cover to the dietetic service across a range of areas of nutrition.

About the Team/Service/Location

Youll enjoy the support of a dedicated team of 10 highly skilled dietitians, and regular interactions with other health professionals across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki services.

About you

Are you a qualified and registered dietitian who is able to practise in New Zealand who would embrace an exciting opportunity? Do you share in our vision and our values, and will you ensure that our patients feel supported and cared for throughout their journey with us?

To be considered for this role, applicants must:
