Job summary

Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Lakes is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to Rotorua Hospital, with 0.7 FTE (56 hours per fortnight) on a permanent part-time basis, to support inpatient and outpatient care and to visit Taupo hospital for outpatient care.

You will join a six-dietitian team and work across clinical specialties, with a strong focus on equity and multidisciplinary collaboration; the role offers a balanced lifestyle in Rotorua.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Dietitian with a current APC.
• 2–3 years of general dietetics experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to address equity issues within the community.
• Prescriber status as Dietitian.

Responsibilities

• Based at Rotorua Hospital, support inpatient and outpatient care.
• Visit Taupo Hospital for outpatient care.
• Work across clinical specialties as per preference, skill and experience.
• Be supported by the Team Leader Dietitian and contribute to a collaborative dietetic team.

About the Role

As a Clinical Dietitian you will be based at Rotorua hospital and support both inpatient and outpatient care. You will also be visiting Taupo based hospital for outpatient care. You will be working in a variety of clinical specialties. This will be dependent on you preference, skill and experience. This position is suitable for a junior clinician who wants to take their clinical practice to the next level.

You will be supported by the Team Leader Dietitian and work alongside our dietetic team. As a Dietitian you will be valued by our supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Our team consists of 6 Dietitians with a wealth of clinical experience.
