Host My Home is looking for an organised, proactive and quality-focused Cleaning Supervisor to work alongside our Housekeeping Manager and assist with daily cleaning operations across our Queenstown property portfolio. You will work hands-on as part of the cleaning team while also supporting other cleaners, checking standards and helping ensure every property is clean, well presented, fully stocked and guest-ready on time.
This is a hands-on working supervisor role combining property cleaning with quality assurance, team support and day-to-day operational assistance. You will report to the Housekeeping Manager and work closely with them to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Complete property cleans to Host My Home’s presentation and cleanliness standards as part of the daily operation.
Work alongside the Housekeeping Manager to assist with daily cleaning operations and property turnovers.
Carry out daily cleaning inspections, identify any issues and make sure they are resolved before guest arrival.
Train and onboard cleaners, provide clear feedback, and support consistent quality, efficiency and accountability.
Monitor daily progress in Breezeway, close completed tasks and accurately report maintenance, damage, linen or stock issues.
Respond to and, where appropriate, handle minor maintenance issues, while escalating larger or specialist jobs to the Housekeeping Manager/ Management team or relevant contractor.
Manage linen levels, rotation, condition and storage, including stock counts, replacement needs and urgent top-ups.
Order cleaning products, guest consumables and other supplies while keeping storage areas organised and costs under control.
Schedule deep cleans and seasonal tasks, review cleanliness-related guest feedback and identify process improvements.
Provide clear updates and handovers to the Housekeeping Manager, escalating risks or urgent issues promptly.
You have previous housekeeping, accommodation or hospitality experience; supervisory or team-lead experience is strongly preferred.
You have a sharp eye for detail and understand what makes a holiday property feel fresh, organised and welcoming.
You are confident coordinating people, priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
You communicate calmly, respectfully and clearly, including when giving feedback or resolving problems under pressure.
You are reliable, accountable and comfortable taking initiative without waiting to be asked.
You are confident using mobile apps and operational systems. Experience with Breezeway is an advantage, but training can be provided.
You can work independently as well as collaboratively with management and the wider operations team.
You hold a current, valid driver licence.
You are available to work weekends and some public holidays as part of the roster.
This position offers a minimum of 25–30 hours per week. Because our busiest days follow guest arrivals and departures, weekend work and some public holiday work are required. Flexibility during peak periods is essential.
