Job summary

Luxe Stay Holiday Homes in Queenstown, Otago, invites an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team and uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will coordinate housekeeping tasks, train staff, and ensure timely completion of daily operations on a 40-hour weekly roster that may include weekends and public holidays.

The role requires a NZ driver’s license and at least 3 years of housekeeping experience, with strong English communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• New Zealand full driver's license (essential).
• Minimum 3 years of satisfactory housekeeping experience (essential).
• Intermediate computer skills (bonus).
• Professional level of English language skill.
• Please prepare 2 references from most recent employers.

Responsibilities

• Training: provide training for new and seasoned staff.
• Assist with cleaning if required.
• Schedule cleaning and manage time sheet.
• Property inspection and maintenance tasks (bulbs, batteries, simple repairs).
• Property inspection - cleaning: check cleanliness and liaise with team to rectify issues.
• Stocktaking and reordering, keep storage tidy.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure timely completion of tasks by the team.
• Attend to guest needs on site (e.g., towels, addressing cleaning issues).
• Emergency on-call after hours as rostered.

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who to join our Team.

• Work car can be provided during work hours.

• 5 days / 40 hours on a weekly rostered basis which may include weekends and public holidays (minor flexibility allowed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Training: provide training for new and seasoned staff.

• Assist with cleaning if required.

• Schedule cleaning and manage time sheet.

• Property Inspection - maintenance: from changing lightbulbs/batteries, unblock drains, to any simple repairs that can be done with a screw driver.

• Property Inspection - cleaning: check cleanliness of the properties, rectify or liaise with housekeeping team where issues are identified. Stock up properties with consumable or household items.

• Regularly monitor performance of team member, identify areas that need improvement.

• Ensure cleaning is done at the highest standard. Verify after cleaning and rectify issues.

• Oversee to ensure daily operation is running smoothly and ensure successful completion of time-sensitive tasks by the Team.

• Attend to guest needs and issues when they require on site intervention. (e.g. delivering fresh towels, rectifying a previous cleaning issue)

• Stocktaking/re-ordering and keeping storage/office space clean and tidy.

• After hour on call emergency attendance, this is expected on rostered basis.

REQUIREMENT

• New Zealand full driver's license (essential).
