Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to lead the cleaning team and uphold high standards of cleanliness at our Christchurch site. This part-time role involves weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 07:30-16:30) with an hourly rate of $27.00.

You will supervise a small team, cover staff absences, conduct site visits, and ensure safety and KPI targets are met. Ideal candidates have strong cleaning experience, supervisory skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Strong cleaning experience is required.
• Experience in supervising and managing a team.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Good client management skills.
• Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
• Knowledge and experience of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer and phone application knowledge.
• Knowledge of TBT training, roster management, stock ordering.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small team of cleaners.
• Cover staff absences and additional shifts to ensure service continuity.
• Conduct regular site visits and provide support to cleaning teams across locations.
• Provide weekend cover and oversee weekend operations.
• Deliver cleaning consumables and supplies to sites as required.
• Serve as the first point of contact for the weekend team, responding to queries and escalating issues when necessary.
• Monitor service standards and assist with staff guidance and support.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with company procedures and client expectations.
• Effective task scheduling to ensure deadlines and SLAs are met.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Assigning duties, conducting spot checks, and ensuring task completion.
• Supporting staff with guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee and participate in daily cleaning operations within the store.
• Meet rotations and KPI's for our client site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Respond to client requests and feedback
• Maintain Rosters and provide shift coverage when required
• Recruit and onboard new team members
• Taking immediate and appropriate action during accidents or hazards.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisorto lead our cleaning team and ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities at Christchurch.

This role is ideal for individuals who love working in a fast-paced environment, have great attention to detail, and enjoy creating clean and welcoming spaces for our clients and customers.

Part-time position available, with shift as follows:

Saturday-Sunday: 07:30-16:30

Hourly rate: $27.00
