Job summary

Millennium Services Group in Christchurch is seeking enthusiastic and reliable cleaners for part‑time roles across weekends and weekdays. You will perform general cleaning duties across multiple floor levels, including offices, kitchens, and restrooms, using vacuum equipment and robot vacuums.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, good English communication, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a robot vacuum cleaner.
• Proven ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and safety‑conscious per WHS standards.
• Good English speaking/comprehension required.
• NZ work rights and 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Vacuuming across multiple floor levels.
• Office cleaning, including vacuuming and manual cleaning tasks.
• Sanitising and maintaining meeting rooms.
• Keep common areas, kitchens and workspaces clean and presentable.
• Spot cleaning of furnishings; sweeping and mopping.
• Toilet cleaning and rubbish collection.
• Clean glass surfaces (internal and external).
• Dust all hard surfaces.

Millennium have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and reliable cleaners to become part of our team at Christchurch!

This role is ideal for individuals who love working in a fast-paced environment, have great attention to detail, and enjoy creating clean and welcoming spaces for our clients and customers.

We have Part time position available, with shifts across weekends and weekdays.

Monday-Friday: 18:00-22:30

Hourly rate: $24.25

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties to a high standard
• Vacuuming responsibilities across three floor levels.
• General office cleaning duties, including manual and robotic vacuuming.
• Sanitising and maintaining meeting rooms to a high standard.
• Ensuring common areas, kitchens, and workspaces remain clean and presentable.
• Spot cleaning of furnishings
• Sweeping and mopping
• Toilet cleaning.
• Rubbish collection
• Cleaning of glass, both internal and external
• Dusting of all hard surfaces

About You:

• Demonstrated cleaning experience, in a commercial environment would be an advantage.
• Must be comfortable using a robot vacuum cleaner.
• Proven experience of working in a team successfully.
• The ability to follow instructions and work autonomously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Can demonstrate strong reliability and punctuality while at work.
• Good understanding of Work Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours and public holidays when required.
• Experience with floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers is a plus.
• You must be 18+ due to Company H&S policies.
• All communications including training and health & safety instructions are in English only. You must have good English speaking and comprehension skills.
• You must have valid work rights in New Zealand.
