Job summary

City Care Property is seeking two experienced cleaners for Burnham Military Camp, South Island. You will help keep facilities clean, safe, and ready for NZDF personnel on site, working with a supportive team and following strict health and safety standards.

Full training on cleaning machinery is provided; prior commercial cleaning experience is ideal, and a Full Class 1 Driver Licence is required. The role offers stable, long‑term employment with a Kiwi organisation and on‑site work.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial cleaning experience is ideal.
• Experience using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Confidence using, or willingness to learn to operate, commercial cleaning machinery such as scrubbers, buffers, and polishers.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and help where needed.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay on top of tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, accommodation blocks, amenities, and shared facilities.
• Operate cleaning equipment including scrubbers, buffers, and polishers (full training provided).
• Follow cleaning schedules and site procedures.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of cleaning across the site.

As part of the team supporting one of New Zealand's largest military bases, you'll help keep facilities clean, safe, and ready for the NZDF personnel who live and work on site.

This role involves operating a range of commercial cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and polishers. Full training will be provided, but you'll need to be comfortable learning to use machinery as part of your day-to-day work.
