Job summary

Visy Logistics in Favona, Auckland, is hiring a Class 5 Tipper Truck Driver to join our bulk team. You will be part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow as you handle routes from Auckland to Waikato.

Hours are a minimum of 40 per week, on PM shifts, with stable weekly pay. You will operate tipper trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with fatigue and load restraint laws.

Qualifications

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Class 5 Tipper Trailer & Truck; ability to Jack Knife.
• Experience with Skully Tipping, Swing, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Tipper Truck and Trailer for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• House Keeping- Cleaning of the Containers before or after the run.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

The Opportunity:

As a Class 5 Tipper Truck Driver working with our Visy Logistics, Bulk team. With Visy you're NOT just a driver. You are part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow.

Routes:Supporting our Glass Manufacturing, Penrose site and doing runs from Auckland to Te Kuiti, Waikato and occasional trips regionally.

Locations: Based out of our site inFavona.

Hours: min 40 hours, full-time permanent position, working on PMshift.

What you'll do:

• Operate a Tipper Truck and Trailer for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• House Keeping- Cleaning of the Containers before or after the run.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.

What You Will Bring:

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence.
• A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 Tipper Trailer & Truck is essential and the ability to Jack Knife.
• Experience with Skully Tipping, Swing, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is highly desirable.
• Sound knowledge of Metro Auckland routes.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
