Job summary

Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd is seeking a Class 5 Flatdeck Truck Driver to deliver steel products across Tauranga and surrounding areas. You will ensure loads are secured, support safe loading/unloading, and perform pre-start inspections while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires a current NZ Class 5 licence, reliable driving history, and a proactive safety mindset. You will work Monday–Friday, with overnight allowances where needed and weekly pay in a team-focused, nationwide

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Class 5 driver licence and proven heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Sound knowledge of load restraint, freight handling and safe delivery practices.
• Confidence handling steel or other awkward loads (advantageous).
• Good driving record, reliability and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the wider team.

Responsibilities

You’ll deliver steel products throughout Tauranga and surrounding areas, helping our customers receive their freight safely, reliably and on time.

About The Role

• Safely operate a Class 5 flatdeck vehicle to deliver steel products to customers and sites.

• A proactive safety mindset, including the confidence to stop work when conditions are unsafe.
