Job summary

ALH Auckland is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver for a stable night shift in South Auckland. The role runs Sunday to Thursday, starting at 5:00pm, with a pay rate of $35.00 per hour.

Duties include driving Class 5 trucks, operating a forklift, yard tasks, and daily deliveries to the CBD. NZ Class 5 Driver Licence and Forklift Licence are required, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Confidence reversing and manoeuvring vehicles in busy yard.

Responsibilities

• Reversing the truck safely to the loading dock with radio guidance.
• Operate a forklift to move ice and bins around the site and into the factory.
• Load bins onto trucks.
• Complete general yard duties as required.
• Collect packaging and stock from nearby site.
• Complete one delivery run daily to the CBD.
• Keep the truck cab and rear interior clean and tidy.
• Assist in ensuring driver support throughout the night.

Are you an experienced Class 5 Driver looking for a stable night shift role with a great hourly rate?

Location: South Auckland
Shift: Sunday to Thursday
Start Time: 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on driver to join a busy operation in South Auckland. This is a varied role combining truck driving, forklift operation, yard duties and daily deliveries.

About the Role As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for supporting daily site operations and ensuring trucks, stock and deliveries are managed safely and efficiently.

Your duties will include:

• Reversing the truck safely to the loading dock, following instructions from Team Leader via radio
• Operating a forklift to move ice and bins around the site and into the factory
• Loading bins onto trucks
• Completing general yard duties as required
• Collecting packaging and stock from a nearby site
• Completing one delivery run each day to the CBD
• Keeping the truck cab and rear interior clean and tidyUsing cleaning equipment and tools to wash down the rear of the truck
• Helping ensure the site always has driver support throughout the night

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current New Zealand Class 5 Driver Licence
• A current Forklift Licence
• Experience driving Class 5 trucks and trailers
• Confidence reversing and manoeuvring vehicles in a busy yard environment
• Forklift and general yard experience
• A strong focus on health and safety
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions via radio
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Pride in keeping vehicles and work areas clean and well maintained
