Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand in Dunedin is seeking a capable Class 4 Civil Driver to handle varied driving and civil work around Dunedin. You’ll drive Class 4 vehicles, operate tip trucks, and support slurry‑truck operations on local sites.

A current Class 4 NZ Driver Licence and confidence with Road Ranger gearboxes are required; civil construction or heavy‑driving experience is preferred. Some travel and periods away from home may be required; PPE is provided and you’ll work with a small civil crew

Class 4 Civil Driver

Tradestaff is looking for a capable Class 4 Civil Driver to take on varied driving and civil work around Dunedin. If you’re confident behind the wheel, can handle Road Ranger gearboxes and don’t mind getting involved on site, we want to hear from you.

Location: Dunedin City, Dunedin

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $32 per hour + weekly pay

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive Class 4 vehicles across civil and delivery work
• Operate tip trucks and complete a range of local deliveries
• Assist with specialised slurry-truck operations
• Work alongside a small civil crew to keep jobs moving
• Carry out general site duties when required
• Complete vehicle checks and operate equipment safely
• Travel for projects when required, including periods away from home

What We’re Looking For

• Current Class 4 NZ Driver Licence
• Confident driving Road Ranger gearboxes
• Previous civil construction or relevant heavy-driving experience
• WTR endorsements are advantageous but not essential for a strong candidate
• Strong Class 2 drivers with relevant civil experience may also be considered
• Reliable transport and a practical, team-focused approach
• Comfortable travelling and spending time away from home when required
