Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking reliable Class 2 Drivers for temporary assignments across Dunedin clients, including furniture moving and civil stabilising projects. Central Dunedin location with immediate start and weekly pay.

You will operate Class 2 rigid trucks, perform vehicle checks and assist with site tasks, with PPE supplied and opportunities across different client sites. A valid NZ Class 2 licence and good fitness are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NZ Class 2 driver licence.
• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual lifting and active site work.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, including fatigue management.
• WTR endorsements are a bonus and may be required for some assignments.
• F endorsement/OSH forklift certification advantageous where required by client.
• Flexible attitude to work across different assignments and environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 rigid trucks per NZ road rules and site requirements.
• Complete pre-start and post-trip vehicle checks and report safety concerns.
• Load, secure and unload equipment and other materials safely.
• Carry out manual handling and assist with site tasks as required.
• Work alongside civil stabilising crews and assist with hands-on duties.
• Complete relevant delivery documentation and proof of delivery where required.
• Communicate professionally with clients, dispatchers, site crews and team members.

Looking for variety in your working week? We're looking for reliable Class 2 Drivers to join Tradestaff for a range of temporary assignments across our Dunedin clients. Opportunities include part-time furniture moving and hands-on work supporting a civil stabilising crew, making this a great option for drivers who enjoy getting out of the cab and getting stuck in.

Location: Central Dunedin, Dunedin

Start date: Relatively immediate start

Pay rate: $28-$30 per hour - paid weekly

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate Class 2 rigid trucks while following New Zealand road rules and site requirements.
• Complete pre-start and post-trip vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Load, secure and unload equipment and other materials safely.
• Carry out manual handling and assist with physical tasks as required on assignments.
• Work alongside civil stabilising crews and assist with hands-on site duties.
• Complete relevant delivery documentation and proof of delivery where required.
• Communicate professionally with clients, dispatchers, site crews and other team members.

What We're Looking For

• A valid and current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
