Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is looking for an experienced Civil Operator with a Class 4 licence and WTR endorsements to join a busy crew working across civil, forestry and roading sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their way around heavy machinery, can handle changing site conditions and isn't afraid to jump out of the cab and help the crew when needed.
Location: Hawke’s Bay
Start: Immediate
Pay Rate:$32-35 per hour, paid weekly
What you'll be doing:
- Operating excavators, rollers and other civil machinery
- Working across civil construction, forestry and roading projects
- Earthworks, site preparation, trenching and general machine operation
- Completing daily machinery checks and basic maintenance
- Working safely around other plant, machinery and ground crews
- Assisting with general site duties when required
- Following site plans, instructions and H&S procedures
What we're looking for:
- Full Class 4 driver's licence – essential
- Current WTR endorsements – essential
- Proven excavator and roller operating experience
- Previous civil, forestry and/or roading experience
- Confident operating machinery in varied ground and site conditions
- Reliable, practical and able to work well within a crew
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- Clean Ministry of Justice record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Reliable transport to get to and from work
