Job summary

Tradestaff Queenstown is seeking a reliable Civil Works Labourer to join a local crew working across earthworks, drainage and roading projects around Queenstown. Immediate start available with weekly pay and PPE provided.

Role involves assisting with earthworks, trenching and site preparation. Must have Full Class 1 licence, pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests, and be physically fit for outdoor civil labour.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 driver licence required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Previous civil, construction or outdoor labouring experience preferred.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Reliable with a strong health and safety attitude.
• WTR endorsements are a bonus.
• Site Safe and other relevant tickets are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with earthworks, trenching and drainage preparation.
• Shovelling, raking and compacting soil and aggregate.
• Preparing ground and work areas for roading and civil works.
• Spotting for excavators, loaders and other machinery.
• Assisting machine operators and civil crews on site.
• Moving materials, setting up work areas and keeping sites clear.
• Following site health and safety procedures around operating machinery.

Civil Works Labourer

Looking for a hands‑on civil role where you can get stuck in and build your experience? Tradestaff Queenstown is looking for a reliable Civil Works Labourer to join a local crew working across earthworks, drainage and roading projects around Queenstown.

Location:

Queenstown Central, Queenstown

Start date:

Immediate start available

Pay rate:

$27-30 per hour, depending on experience

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with earthworks, trenching and drainage preparation
