Job summary

Evison Earthworks is seeking an experienced Class 2 Truck Driver to join our Queenstown team. You will drive trucks around the Queenstown basin, cart soil and aggregates, and assist with labour tasks alongside excavator operators. Maintain vehicles and adhere to safety rules on site.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 2 Driver Licence required.
• Confident and safe driver with good communication.
• Reliable, punctual and able to perform manual handling.
• Experience around earthworks or construction is an advantage.
• Right to work in New Zealand.

Evison Earthworks - Queenstown, South Island

Evison Earthworks is looking for an experienced Class 2 Truck Driver to join our growing Queenstown team.

This is a full time role, with work based around the Queenstown basin.

We’re looking for someone reliable, experienced and confident behind the wheel who is happy working as part of an earthworks team. You will be required to work closely with the excavator operator and assist with labour task including compaction.

What you’ll be doing

Driving Class 2 trucks to and from our worksites

Carting soil, gravel, aggregates and other materials

Working alongside our machine operators

Completing daily vehicle checks

Keeping your truck clean and well looked after

Following all road and site health & safety requirements

Helping out with general labour when required

What we’re looking for

Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence

Confident and safe driver

Reliable and punctual

Fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

Good communication and a positive attitude

Comfortable working around machinery and active worksites

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Good care and respect for vehicles and equipment

Must have the right to work in New Zealand

Tip truck, earthworks, civil or construction experience would be an advantage.
