Job summary

Titus Transport Limited in Christchurch, Canterbury, NZ, is seeking a motivated Class 2 Truck Driver for full-time work delivering and collecting general freight across the Christchurch region. This hands-on role involves loading, unloading, and operating a Class 2 truck with a focus on safety and customer service.

You will use handheld devices and a transport management system for deliveries and proofs of delivery, perform daily vehicle checks, and work with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current and clean New Zealand Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Experience in freight, transport, or delivery operations.
• Basic geographic knowledge of the Christchurch region.
• Experience using automated TMS applications, handheld scanners, or electronic proof of delivery systems.
• Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading freight.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 truck for freight deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Ensure freight is secured and transported safely.
• Complete deliveries and collections within scheduled timeframes.
• Use handheld devices and transport management systems (TMS) for: Delivery management, Pickup management, electronic proof of delivery (sign-on-glass).
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Follow all company, customer, NZTA, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Class 2 Truck Driver to join our Christchurch team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role involving the delivery and collection of general freight throughout the Christchurch region.

No two days are the same. You will be responsible for a variety of freight movements and will be expected to assist with loading, unloading, and freight handling as required. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in customer service, and can work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
