Job summary

Waste Management in Tauranga is hiring a Driver to operate our truck and on-board equipment ensuring safe and timely collection services. You will also keep records up to date and perform vehicle safety checks.

This role requires a clean Class 2 NZ driver’s licence and relevant driving experience. You should be customer-focused, able to work independently, and contribute to a team culture that keeps everyone safe.

Job description

As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout Tauranga. You’ll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.

At times there may be some heavy lifting so you will need to have a reasonable level of fitness. From previous experience, you’ll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you’ll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.

About you

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.
