Job summary

Persol is assisting a leading LPG supplier in the Trans-Tasman region with a Class 2 Driver role based in Silverdale. The role focuses on safe delivery of gas bottles, customer interaction, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will hold a clean Class 2 license with at least two years of NZ driving experience, be physically fit, and have a proactive safety mindset. Forklift and DG endorsements are a plus and can be supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• MOJ clearance where required.

Responsibilities

Our client is the largest marketer of LPG in the Trans-Tasman region, supplying LPG to homes, businesses, and BBQ customers across New Zealand. With multiple locations nationwide, they are committed to providing rapid and reliable LPG delivery services, using automatic tankers and exchange delivery systems. Their dedication to customers, employees, and community safety is at the core of their operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their tight-knit team in Silverdale.

About The Role

• Delivering gas bottles to customer sites
• Interacting with customers
• Conducting stock takes and compliance checks
• Load and unload gas bottles, always ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

You Will Need

• A clean Class 2 driver's license
• At least 2 years' experience driving a Class 2 or higher vehicle in New Zealand
• Physical fitness (the role is physically demanding)
• Clean MOJ!
• A strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions
• A forklift license and Dangerous Goods endorsement (these are advantageous, but the company will assist you in obtaining them if you don't already have them)
• A health and safety focus due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Reliable transport to and from work
