Job summary

Persol is seeking an experienced LPG Class 2 Driver to join a leading supplier in Whangārei. You will deliver gas bottles to customer sites, interact with customers, and help maintain safe, compliant delivery operations.

The role offers training and development, ongoing full-time hours, and a safety-focused environment. Forklift and DG endorsements are advantageous, with company support to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles in New Zealand
• Clean MOJ
• Physically fit for a demanding role
• Safety-focused with ability to work independently or in a team
• Forklift license & Dangerous Goods endorsement advantageous, with company support to obtain

Responsibilities

• Deliver gas bottles to customer sites
• Interact with customers to ensure smooth service
• Conduct stock takes and compliance checks
• Load and unload gas bottles while following safety protocols

Our client is the largest marketer of LPG in the Trans-Tasman region, supplying LPG to homes, businesses, and BBQ customers across New Zealand. With multiple locations nationwide, they are committed to providing rapid and reliable LPG delivery services, using automatic tankers and exchange delivery systems. Their dedication to customers, employees, and community safety is at the core of their operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their tight-knit team in Whangarei.

About The Role

• Delivering gas bottles to customer sites
• Interacting with customers
• Conducting stock takes and compliance checks
• Load and unload gas bottles, always ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

You Will Need

• Clean MOJ
• A clean Class 2 driver’s license
• At least 2 years' experience driving a Class 2 or higher vehicle in New Zealand
• Physical fitness (the role is physically demanding)
• A strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions
• A forklift license & Dangerous Goods endorsement (these are advantageous, but the company will assist you in obtaining them if you don't already have them)
• A health and safety focus due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Reliable transport to and from work
