Job summary

Tradestaff Wellington is seeking a hardworking Class 2 Driver / Labourer in Lower Hutt. The role involves tyre collection, loading and processing, with hands-on yard duties and regular heavy lifting. Youll drive a manual Class 2 vehicle and support safety-focused operations for a busy site.

This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am to 5:00pm, with weekly pay and ongoing work in a established Lower Hutt operation. You will be part of a supportive Tradestaff Wellington team.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licence is mandatory.
• Confident driving manual vehicles and safe driving practices.
• Physically fit for repetitive heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Willing to work Monday to Friday in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Drive a manual Class 2 vehicle around the Wellington region.
• Collect and load used tyres from customer sites.
• Unload vehicles back at the yard and sort/process tyres.
• Perform regular heavy lifting and general labouring duties.
• Maintain a safe, tidy work environment and complete vehicle checks.

Tradestaff Wellington is looking for a hardworking Class 2 Driver / Labourer to join our client's busy operation in Lower Hutt.

This is a hands‑on role involving tyre collection and processing, so we're looking for someone who isn't afraid of hard physical work. You'll spend time out on the road collecting tyres as well as assisting with processing and general labouring duties back at the yard.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, with hours generally falling between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Driving a manual Class 2 vehicle around the Wellington region
• Collecting and loading used tyres from customer sites
• Unloading vehicles back at the yard
• Assisting with tyre sorting and processing
• Regular heavy lifting and manual handling
• General yard and labouring duties
• Completing vehicle checks and following safe driving procedures
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

What We’re Looking For

• Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licence
• Confident driving manual vehicles
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Happy to get out of the truck and work alongside the team
• Good Health & Safety awareness
• Able to work full-time Monday to Friday
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Able to complete relevant Ministry of Justice checks
