Job summary

Suncorp NZ is seeking a Commercial Motor Claims Consultant to support commercial customers through the claims journey, balancing customer advocacy with commercial outcomes. You will own claims from lodgement to resolution in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes relationship building with customers, brokers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, aiming for fair, efficient and customer-focused outcomes while maintaining policy and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor or commercial insurance claims is highly regarded but not essential.

What You'll Do

• Manage a portfolio of commercial motor claims from lodgement through to resolution, taking ownership of the customer experience throughout the claims journey.
• Build strong relationships with customers, brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and effective outcomes.
• Make informed decisions, manage claim costs responsibly, and ensure claims are handled in line with policy, authority levels, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and customer experiences.
