Job summary

Tradestaff Queenstown is seeking a capable Civil Works Labourer based in Wanaka to join a crew working on civil construction projects throughout the local area.

You will be doing hands-on labouring across civil sites, assisting with drainage installation and trench work, ground preparation and safety-focused work with potential for ongoing roles. Weekly pay and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be currently based in Wanaka.
• Full Class 1 driver licence – required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Civil, construction or similar labouring experience preferred
• Physically fit and ready for hands‑on outdoor work
• Dependable with a strong focus on site safety
• WTR endorsements are a bonus
• Site Safe or other relevant tickets are an advantage

Looking for your next civil role in Wanaka? Tradestaff Queenstown is looking for a capable Civil Works Labourer who is currently based in Wanaka to join a crew working on civil construction projects throughout the local area.

Location: Wanaka, Otago

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $27–$30 per hour, depending on experience

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out hands‑on labouring across civil construction sites
• Assisting crews with drainage installation and trench work
• Preparing and levelling ground for roading and site works
• Placing and compacting gravel, aggregate and other materials
• Working safely around excavators, rollers and other machinery
