Job summary

JobSpace is seeking a skilled Civil Labourer for immediate start on civil sites around Christchurch, Canterbury. You will assist with trenching and pipe laying, operate a loader, and support excavators as needed. The role offers long-term temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate.

Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and hold Site Safe. No sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Experience on civil sites.
• Ability to trench and lay pipe.
• WTR endorsement required.
• Loader operation experience.
• Excavator experience preferred but not essential.
• Class 2 licence beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching and pipe laying on civil sites.
• Work on Christchurch CBD and Canterbury projects.
• Operate loader and support excavator as required.
• Maintain safety standards and communicate with the team.

Our client is a local contractor in Christchurch, with ongoing projects around the Christchurch CBD and throughout Canterbury!

With a number of projects due to start in the next couple of weeks, we are looking for a skilled and competent Civil Labourer with a WTR endorsement

• Experience working on civil sites


• Assisting with trenching and laying pipe.


• WTR - Must be able to operate aloader.


• Excavator - experience preferred but no essential.


• Class 2 licence to drive a small tipper - beneficial but not essential

This role is an immediate startfor the successful candidate, with long term temp to perm opportunities.

• Reliable and a team player


• Vehicle to get to and from sites


• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
