Job summary

Fulton Hogan invites you to join its two-year Civil Engineering Graduate Programme in Marlborough, commencing February 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across three waters, road construction, bridges and traffic management, with real responsibility and supportive mentors.

You’ll rotate through different business areas to build breadth, work on-site with experienced teams, and contribute to safe, reliable infrastructure that keeps communities moving.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or diploma from NZ-recognised tertiary institute.
• NZ or Australian citizenship, or NZ permanent residency.
• Interest in practical, hands-on, site-based contracting work; proactive, organised and adaptable; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with experienced teams on real civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Rotate through different parts of the business to build broad experience and grow strengths.
• Support project delivery through planning, coordination and day-to-day site activities.

Grad mode: on. Start your civil engineering career with Fulton Hogan in February 2027. Our two-year Civil Engineering Graduate Programme gives you hands-on experience, real responsibility and the chance to work on infrastructure that keeps communities moving.

In Marlborough, you'll get involved early in work across three waters, road construction, bridges, quarries, surfacing and traffic management. That variety gives you a great base to build broad, practical experience, backed by experienced people who know the region and the work inside out.

• A Civil Engineering degree or diploma from a New Zealand-recognised tertiary institute, with graduation between 2024 and 2026.
• New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or New Zealand permanent residency.
• A genuine interest in practical, hands-on, site-based contracting work.
• A proactive, organised and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn.
• A team-focused attitude and a strong interest in a long-term career in infrastructure.
