Fulton Hogan in Alexandra, New Zealand, invites graduates to join a two-year Civil Engineering Graduate Programme starting February 2027. You’ll gain hands-on experience on water, wastewater, pavement projects, and major infrastructure, supported by an experienced team.

Based in Alexandra and working across Central Otago, the programme offers real responsibility, structured development, and the opportunity to grow into a long-term career in infrastructure.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or diploma from a New Zealand‑recognised tertiary institute, with graduation between 2024 and 2026.
• New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or New Zealand permanent residency.
• A genuine interest in practical, hands-on, site-based contracting work.
• A proactive, organised and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn.
• A team-focused attitude and a strong interest in building a long-term career in infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with experienced teams on real civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Rotate through different parts of the business to build experience and grow your strengths.
• Support project delivery through planning, coordination and day-to-day site activities.

Grad mode: on. Start your civil engineering career with Fulton Hogan in February 2027. Our two-year Civil Engineering Graduate Programme gives you hands‑on experience, real responsibility and the chance to work on infrastructure that keeps communities moving.

Based out of Alexandra and working across Central Otago, you'll contribute to technically challenging jobs including water and wastewater projects, treatment plants and major pavement works. You'll be supported by an experienced team growing specialist capability in water and civil work, giving you plenty of room to learn and develop.
