Job summary

Medic Alert Foundation New Zealand seeks a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation from its Upper Hutt base. You will drive strategic direction, financial sustainability, and stakeholder engagement while advancing digital health initiatives and a scalable MACM platform.

You will report to the Board, shape governance practices, and foster a high-performing team committed to service excellence in healthcare and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a CEO, General Manager or equivalent senior executive leadership role.
• Experience working with Boards and governance structures.
• Strong financial management and business planning capability.
• Proven success leading organisational growth and change.
• Experience in enterprise risk management and governance.
• Demonstrated experience leading technology-enabled organisations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Experience within healthcare, digital health, charitable or not-for-profit sectors (desirable).
• Knowledge of New Zealand's health system (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Board-approved Strategic Plan and Annual Business Plan
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable operational objectives and outcomes
• Ensure the Foundation remains financially sustainable and commercially viable
• Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial plans
• Provide strategic leadership for the Foundation's digital environment and technology strategy
• Oversee the strategic development, expansion and commercialisation of the MACM Platform
• Build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, health sector partners, funders, sponsors and community stakeholders
• Lead and develop a high-performing, values-based workforce
• Develop, implement and maintain an enterprise risk management framework
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and contractual obligations

Medic Alert Foundation – Upper Hutt, North Island

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of Medic Alert Foundation New Zealand.
