The Company is seeking a Chief Executive to provide high-impact strategic leadership and drive the operational delivery of its national body. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective leadership, day-to-day management, and strategic advancement of the organization, with a key focus on strengthening member value and progressing long-term priorities. This hands-on role involves championing the company's values, ensuring members see meaningful value in their membership, and building strong connections with graduates and emerging professionals. The CEO will also lead the implementation of the strategic plan, manage financial oversight, and support the Council in governance, compliance, and policy matters.Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a proven track record in strategic leadership within a professional membership body, advocacy organization, or not-for-profit sector. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as health, allied health, or disability, is highly advantageous. The role requires strong experience in working with voluntary governance Boards, financial stewardship, and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be confident, resilient, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to advancing health equity and inclusion. Experience in credentialing or professional standards environments, as well as a good understanding of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, is also desirable.
