The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as a hands-on leader, driving the organization's strategy, operational delivery, and outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the transformation and change necessary to deliver a meaningful impact, particularly in the areas of professional standards, community accessibility, and the quality of counselling services. This role demands a proven track record in strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and the ability to work with voluntary, governance boards and committees.

The Executive Director will also be tasked with strengthening member value and engagement, building relationships with various stakeholders, and ensuring the organization effectively represents and supports the counselling profession. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a strong background in a professional association, membership-based organization, regulatory environment, or the not-for-profit sector. Experience in regulatory, credentialing, or professional standards environments is desirable.

The role requires the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, as well as a commitment to advancing health equity, inclusion, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
