Job summary

Nz Venue Co Ltd is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Wynyard Pavilion, Auckland waterfront. In a busy all-day operation with seasonal menus, you’ll work with a dynamic team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes across service.

You’ll be responsible for running your section, maintaining high standards, following food safety procedures, and supporting the wider kitchen team. If you’re confident under pressure and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role.
• Confident working across a busy service.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Handles pressure and stays calm during peak periods.
• Takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation.
• Reliable, organised and team-focused.
• Keen to learn and develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard.
• Running your section efficiently during busy services.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team when required.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Following food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Assisting with prep, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
• Working collaboratively with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
