Job summary

L’affare in Wellington is seeking a keen and enthusiastic Chef to join our College Street Café kitchen. You’ll work across all kitchen areas, supporting the Head Chef with seasonal dishes, cabinet items, and some baking. You’ll handle daily prep, keep the kitchen clean, and assist the wider team when busy.

We’re L’affare. The coffee business. Ever since 1990. We were born out of a love for espresso, in Wellington at our café and HQ. 33 years later, we’re still there on College Street.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team in our College Street Café. You'll be working in all aspects of the kitchen, including using your creativity to support our Head Chef with delicious new seasonal dishes. You'll prepare a range of cabinet food and menu items to a high standard, some baking will be required too. You’ll also complete daily food prepping, maintain our kitchen cleanliness and support the wider team when the pressure is on.

This is a permanent part-time role, offering 28 hours per week, with some required weekend work.
