Job summary

Mana Montessori Preschool invites a qualified ECE teacher to join our warm, supportive team in our 3–6 Montessori classrooms. We emphasize holistic learning, whānau partnerships, and lifelong learning in a beautiful environment.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday). Applicants must hold a Level 7 ECE qualification, NZ teacher registration with practising certificate, and a strong understanding of Te Whāriki.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised Level 7 ECE teaching qualification (essential).
• Holds current NZ teacher registration and a practising certificate.
• Has good knowledge and experience in understanding and implementing Te Whāriki.
• Is warm, respectful, adaptable and nurturing.
• Values relationships, teamwork and child-led learning.
• Embraces our culture, values and commitment to lifelong learning.
• Has the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Montessori ECE curriculum in 3–6 classrooms.
• Support holistic development following Te Whāriki principles.
• Collaborate with whānau and kaiako to support children's learning.

About the role

Mana Montessori Preschool is seeking a qualified ECE teacher to join our warm, supportive team in our beautiful 3–6 Montessori classrooms.

We are a community-based, not-for-profit preschool passionate about nurturing confident, capable, independent and curious tamariki. Our Montessori approach provides purposeful, hands-on learning that celebrates each child's interests, strengths and potential.

Te Whāriki is at the heart of our practice, guiding our commitment to holistic learning, wellbeing, belonging, contribution and communication.

Whanaungatanga underpins everything we do, fostering strong, respectful and reciprocal relationships with tamariki, whānau, kaiako and our wider community. We value children's identities, cultures and voices, and welcome whānau as partners in their learning journey.

The role: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
