Halswell Commons is seeking a passionate nursery teacher to support children aged 0-2 in a Montessori-inspired setting. You will foster development in a nurturing environment and contribute to a vibrant local community within our purpose-built facilities.

Ideal candidates have ECE experience, a Montessori interest, strong communication, and the flexibility to cover a Monday to Friday roster, 35-40 hours weekly, in a locally owned centre with supportive leadership.

• Interest in Montessori philosophy of education.
• Available to work a Monday to Friday roster, 35-40 hours per week.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand; visa sponsorship not available.

What we’re looking for

• Experienced ECE applicants, preferably qualified teachers, although candidates with the right experience and passion will be considered.
• A genuine interest in working with children aged 0-2 years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to creating a positive, nurturing learning environment, with flexibility to work across all preschool age groups.
• An interest in, or experience with, the Montessori philosophy of education.
• Availability to work a Monday to Friday roster, 35-40 hours per week.
• The legal right to work in New Zealand. Visa sponsorship is not currently available to offshore applicants.
